Miso Green Beans

I love Asian cooked green beans because they are always cooked with a ton of flavor, no blanching in an Asians kitchen, thus, Miso Green Beans! With the earthy base of miso and spicy kick, you’ll enjoy these and be cooking this again! Best thing about green beans is that they are quick cook too!
If you like Asian cooking, pair them with Korean Barbecue Pork Jowl Lettuce Wraps and its a satisfying meal! This side complimented the “Korean Barbecue” them for Supper Challenge and would make a great addition to any grilled meat!

Method
- Warm up a large frying pan on medium high heat with sesame oil.
- Once oil is warm, add garlic cloves and cook until caramelized, 1-2 minutes.
- Add green beans to the hot pan, toss and cook until beans start to brown, 5-8 minutes.
- Place a lid onto frying pan and allow the green beans to steam for 5 minutes.
- Toss green beans and cover the frying pan again until the green beans are a bright green and are tender crisp, about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix the white miso paste, water and sugar into a thick sauce.
- When green beans are tender crisp, pour the miso sauce onto the beans. Sprinkle (to taste) Taekyung Red Pepper Powder onto the green beans.
